In recent years, Smart City has emerged as a major technological trend that aims to integrate intelligent technologies with the natural and built environments to improve a city’s social, economic, and environmental sustainability and quality of life of residents. In this programme, we aim to develop real-time communication and AI technologies for realizing lamppost-assisted autonomous driving. Our main target is to establish an open, scalable, and efficient technological framework based on new vision technologies to provide city-scale services. To achieve these goals, we have explored and investigated many recent advances in deep learning technologies, edge computing, and autonomous driving.
